At the opening of a group exhibition in Antwerp at Lokaal 01, Jankowski had a magician, Maestro Wim Brando, turn him into a dove. The maestro built up a stage, pulled back a curtain, and the artist was transformed. For the exhibition’s three-week duration, Jankowski, a dove, sat in a cage in the middle of the gallery space. Visitors were encouraged to let him out (as long as they put him back), feed, and water him. A guest book and a Polaroid camera also located in the space allowed visitors to document the artist’s new life and his dependence on the public.
