A Christmas celebration in the early 1970s – to be more exact, the Jankowski family’s celebration: a Super-8 film shows Christian, at a very young age, dancing under the Christmas tree and throwing peanuts at his grandparents. But what we hear is Jankowski’s mother and her now grown-up son watching the film together and commenting on it. Bewildered, his mother exclaims, »My goodness, you’re really drunk!« And she reproaches Christian’s father for allowing the kids to take a sip of alcohol. Along with the temporal inversion of sound and image, the work also plays with the aesthetic of of memory.
