The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, a leading German daily, invited Jankowski to design, as an artwork, one page of the newspaper. Jankowski decided to reprint various texts and images related to his work – from local and national newspapers, as well as tabloids – but in a fresh layout and without indicating any of the original dates of publication. As a result, the page simulates the texts’ and images’ simultaneous publication and complicates the idea of topicality as in relation to both art and journalism: Jankowski’s project returned all the works included to the present.
