For his exhibition at Maccarone gallery in New York, Jankowski interviewed gallerist Michele Maccarone and the owner of an electrical appliance store located on the ground floor of the same building, Kunst Sales Company Inc. The questions were based on research by a well-known management consultant. In the resulting video installation, constructed from equipment bought at the electronics store, the protagonists are seen speaking the other’s answers – him standing among boxes of appliances, her in her contemporary art gallery – underlining the parallels and differences between these two salespeople and their products. The video concludes with advice from the management consultant regarding the two professionals’ futures.
