In a collaboration with a Mexican telenovela production company, Jankowski’s Jesus infiltrated an actual episode of the show Triunfo del Amor (Triumph of Love). When he walked onto the TV set, the actors froze. He assumed the iconic pose of standing with open arms, then made an exit. His rather surreal appearance had nothing to do with the episode’s storyline, but the scene was broadcast anyway. Jankowski’s Jesus had made his way from a TV-style casting to a cameo in an actual television production, concluding a meta-narrative about the media that created him.
